Offal news

The next issue of OFFAL, the journal of “artistic experiments and literary offcuts” I edit with my collaborator Rod Stanley, is landing on these shores early next month. Cover by Julia Schaefer looks awesome, and the contents are super-exciting, with our patented mix of big names alongside newcomers.

We’re doing a couple of events in London in support of it: an evening in The Queen of Hoxton pub next Tuesday with some other independent magazines we love, care of Stack. Fiver in, should be awesome.

Then, on 2nd July, we’re running a workshop at The Goldsmiths Centre for Contemporary Art, where we will be playing together with whoever comes to make some Offal-style text experiments.

Meanwhile, we’ve launched subscriber options for our monthly audio-zine, produced by audio-wizzard Gavin Weale and described in The Guardian (what’s that, mother? The Guardian, you say?) as “a hilarious yet hauntingly uncanny Blue Jam-style fusion of horror, sketch show and soundscape.” Please do check it out.
